What is Personal Development?

Any time you are consciously trying to improve yourself, you are participating in personal development.

What kind of skills can I acquire as part of my Personal Development?

There are Hard Skills, which are technical, formal and often job-specific e.g. data analysis, accounting etc.

Then there are Soft Skills, which we focus on. These are crucial personal attributes & abilities needed to help us to effectively interact with others in professional and social environments e.g. Etiquette, Emotional Intelligence, Communication, Self-Awareness, Interpersonal skills, Leadership, Conflict Management. etc.

Benefits of Soft Skills
* The skills boost your confidence;
* Help in identifying & improving your natural talents;
* Equip you with tools to be well positioned for employability & entrepreneurship

About the Founder

Ms Nosi Manthata - Founder & CEO: Thuto In Africa (Ltd)
Profession - Fintech Operations & ICT Project Management
Calling - Philanthropist & Mentor
Industries - Fintech, Education & ICT

Nosi Manthata comes from humble beginnings in Diepkloof, Soweto Johannesburg in South Africa. She shares that she was a highly active youngster, who participated in literally all Sports, Cultural and Arts activities - thanks to those who initiated youth programmes in townships.

Her philanthropic and social entrepreneur attributes were revealed in her early teens into her 20s where she volunteered in community projects against child abuse; co-founded a basketball team (the Diepkloof Ballads) and started writing for Bible stories’ stage productions. Unfortunately the Arts was not a space most elders endorsed for a career so Ms. Manthata had to redirect her career aspirations.

In her search for options, she stumbled into the world of Technology and Project Management which she studied for and ended up spending over 20 years in. As she built her career in IT, the community and youth development work kept calling for her – she became the go-to-person for (1) those seeking career advice (2) those seeking business-related information and (3) those seeking encouragement and inspiration.

By God’s grace, Ms. Manthata managed her Corporate career growth alongside weekend and holidays’ community and youth projects’ requests for support.

Today, she has founded Thuto in Africa (Pty) Ltd, a self-funded Youth Empowerment company which focuses on Initiatives within the Sports, Arts and Personal Development sectors.
